Over the course of an extensive career spanning more than 17 years, Shivani has accrued experience across diverse sectors, including the corporate world, social enterprises, and non-profit organizations. Her expertise lies in corporate strategy, corporate affairs, fintech, capacity building, and social inclusion, with applications that cut across various industries. Her roles have encompassed project management, stakeholder engagement, strategic partnership cultivation, team mentoring, and leading by example.
When necessary, Shivani willingly delves into grassroots-level project implementation, an endeavour that has proven instrumental in fostering her deep comprehension of the intricacies of the Indian social fabric. This understanding unveils the myriad facets of India’s diversity and fascination while highlighting the resilience of its people in the face of challenges. She acknowledges that the pursuit of success, personal growth, and the universal aspiration to realise one’s dreams transcend barriers of gender, community, race, and region. This profound realisation has laid the foundation for APEG, a platform she envisions as a catalyst for grassroots change, driven by a comprehensive approach to policy-making.
Shivani stands out as an empathetic leader who perceives sensitivity not as a vulnerability but as a source of strength. Her mentoring efforts have been particularly gratifying in the realm of Financial Inclusion (FI), where she has made significant contributions in both India and Bangladesh. Notably, she devised a tech-enabled FI program tailored to artisans, effectively augmenting their income. Her contributions extend to enhancing farmers’ income, promoting livelihoods, fostering sustainability, empowering women through women-centric FI initiatives, and promoting economic and social inclusion.
She holds the distinction of being an alumna of IIM-C, where she pursued a comprehensive program in Public Policy and Management. Her impressive academic journey also includes the prestigious certification of Sustainable Business Strategy from Harvard University. Her undergraduate studies, focused on economics, were completed at Delhi University, while her postgraduate degree delved into the realm of Communication with a specialized emphasis on Public Relations.
